Training Description:
Storytelling can be the best way to give children new information, introduce concepts and show how story characters face problems and resolve them. Learn how to get ready for a story with “a story frame of mind”.

Objectives:
During this workshop participants will:
- Identify several reasons why storytelling and reading aloud to children is developmentally beneficial.
- List non-verbal clues that show that children are ready to hear the story.
- Name and demonstrate ways to maintain children’s attention during a story.
- Develop strategies to retell the story with the children
